Chichibu is the place filled with nature. Traveling by train, its only takes 78 minutes by the Seibu Railway Limited Express Red Arrow from Ikebukuro Station.
With the beautiful water that wells up from Chichibu mountain, Chichibu harvest various of vegetables, Grape, and Strawberry and more. With this water, sake brewing…Japanese Sake, Wine, Whiskey are popular in Chichibu.
Also 25 sorts of maple trees in Chichibu mountain offers delicious maple syrup. Sweets made of these syrup are also loved by travelers.
In 1890’s, cheap but beautiful Kimono made with “Chichibu Meisen Silk” got popular in Japanese Ladies.
Know Chichibu Meisen Silk are designated as Country’s traditional artifact.
With Chichibu Meisen Silk, Chichibu Night Festival also became popular in 1890’s.
The float with gorgeous sculpture and beautiful embroidery, spectacular fireworks in the climax, and the power of the people... This festival is considered to be one of Japan’s top three festivals featuring floats, also has been designated as an significant intangible folk cultural asset.
Recently, women’s trip enjoying the Onsen, foods, flowers, view, and spiritual places are popular in Chichibu too.
